Martha was born and raised in Southwest Nebraska. Martha started in the insurance industry in 1980 with New York Life and later EF Hutton. In 1989, Martha stepped away from the workforce to raise her three children. Martha was then employed by Community Hospital in 2007. Martha returned to the insurance industry in 2014 joining the AmFirst Insurance team. In 2017 Martha joined Edgewater Insurance McCook location. Martha is licensed in property & casualty, life, health, and crop. Martha recently achieved the designation of CISR Elite. Martha is married to Ray Chmiel and the two are avid runners. Martha has taught group fitness at the McCook YMCA since 1999. Martha also enjoys fishing, gardening, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
